HOW TO CREATE A KANOPY ACCOUNT
Since content for this streaming service is only accessible through membership. You can access the membership if you have a public library card or are a university student or a college professor.
Please note that not all public libraries and universities have partnered with the service to provide access. Only limited and exclusive partners have access to all the content.

ACCESS KANOPY WITHOUT A LIBRARY CARD
You cannot access content without a library card. There is no legit method to watch and stream Kanopy movies and series without the membership. Still, there are a few ways you can access the content.
Get university membership through a vocational course, cheaper training.
The goal is to get the university Log-in with an official email address so that you can easily sign up.
Ask a friend, tutor, professor for the library card.
Most of the professors and tutors have a library card through which you can sign up for the service.
Get a university ID online.
Check out services offered by some students instead of an assignment or free services where you can get library access cards or a university log-in.
THINGS TO NOTE:
- Some accesses have limitations. e.g., if you have Wellesley free library car, You can watch a certain title as many times you like but for three days.
- You need to check for libraries, schools partnering with Kanopy, manually. Only those organizations that have partnered with the service can provide you access.
- Since the service is tailor-made for every organization, you may need to find the official page to access content for a particular library and university access. For Georgia state university, you need to go to a subdomain – https://gsu.kanopy.com/ instead of the official Kanopy page.
- You may need to request a particular title again if it is not available/has already been used by the account. There is a system of Play credits where every account gets some credits. For Central Rappahannock Regional Library, you get ten credits per month. Each press of the “Play” button constitutes a credit deduction.
- You may need help from the librarian if you are having trouble signing up, as they have been trained with the process.

The Kanopy platform supports many devices, and the download location depends on your type of device.

WHAT IS A KANOPY LIBRARY CARD?
Kanopy has partnered with public libraries and universities to allow access to the content on its platform. Since most public libraries, libraries inside universities have a library card system, you can access the content through the issued library card with your membership.
The service does not offer a retail subscription. Anyone without a participating library card cannot watch the films and series. You can apply through your library for a card if you do not already have one. Then you can activate the service quickly by yourself.
Please note that there is NO “Kanopy Library Card.” You can use your library card to access content
WHAT ARE THE COUNTRIES THAT SUPPORT KANOPY TV?
Kanopy works in some countries, and most participating libraries are only from 4 countries. You need to have access to library cards from these countries to watch the content everywhere. If you are from somewhere where the service is available, but your library is not a partner, you need to arrange a library card from another participating library in another country.
